So, I can cross another thing off my list. I got the Topaz bundle for photoshop. Get to start playing around with it! So much more to learn. Too much on my plate.... Can't wait to start learning the ropes of Topaz. :)

Good on yer ! Some folks love it others hate it.
I like it and use it loads (sometimes over the top).
Maybe the best thing to do is Topaz on a separate layer and the reduce the opacity of that layer.
That,s what I often do any road up.
Have fun.

Thanks for the advice! I have already checked out some of the effects it can do... from what I can see, I am going to like it! :)
A good investment.

make sure you leave a rope to help you back out of that hole you are going to fall into.

Lol.
It took me a long time to stop over processing my pictures when I first began photoshop. I like to think I have overcome that now.
Hopefully, I won't fall into that same pattern with topaz.

I agree about nik's software. Incredible pieces. Though I still use my topaz, as well.

I've pretty much moved on from Topaz to Nik as well. I still use DeNoise, and sometimes Simplify, and occasionally Detail and Adjust for specific tasks, but working in FF Nik seems better most of the time. Color Efex Pro is a revelatory tool.
