I wouldnt immediately think high-key looking at the portrait shot, it just looks very overexposed on her face. The even lighting on the overlook shot makes the foliage clump together and because it is such a large area of the image it seems to overwhelm the entire thing and take away from the view. The sky also looks very cyan - post-processing? The drop works as an abstract. Did you clone, blur, or neat-image the drop by any chance? It depends on what you were trying to do with it but I found the shallow dof stole some of the context of the shot and so it's mostly a nice abstract instead of viewing it as a single drop clinging desperately to a leaf. There isnt much in the composition, texture, or lighting to make it very wow. I really like the last shot, it has good reflection, lighting, and colors, although the sky on the left is overexposed.

I kinda liked the effect of overexposure in this case.. guess its a personal thing. The sky really was cyan that day, didn't really do much to this shot...I was trying to capture the green foliage against the sky, but perhaps I got too much.
The drop is straight out of the camera, apart from slight crop to put it off centre.
Glad you like the last one

EDIT: thanks for the critique :-)

The first shot is overexposed. Any portrait, high or low key, should still display detail, unfortunately in this case the detail has been lost, possibly through editing in PS.

Shot two I like but as a previous comment, maybe too much foliage in the foreground. Personally I think I would have burned a little at the bottom.

Third shot I think suffers from focus on the critical point and therefore degrades the droplet, a sharp highlight is needed to define it.

The last shot is good, composition and exposure. The loneliness is evident and it just has a great feel about it.
