| I just didnt understand what i was looking at...and if i have to think about it, it must not really be an "everyday" object that EVERYONE would know....im assuming a parking meter?? If so, i definitely dont see one of those every day. |

Hi Mark,
It was a parking lot light actually. Same/similar shape & appearance. I thought it looked like a parking meter too later, and figured oh well, it can be either!
LOL
BTW, Your Purple Grace was/is STUNNING!

| I think a 5.7 is just about right for your picture. It's got the makings of a neat composition, but there are some things missing, such as your eye is lead down to the middle left by the fence and craggly branches along the ground but lead to what? There is nothing to look at there. In addition, I see a conflict in this image: there are a many diagnals in this picture which compositionally suggest action and excitement. But your picture has a dead feeling to it. It's rather depressing and dark. I also feel that the fence is stopping me from seeing what's on the otherside, which I seem to want to do since there is little of interest on what is viewable. Sorry for the harsh criticism, but just my opinion and you did say you have a thick skin. I hope you can give it back to me one day too...lol. I would welcome your critics of my pics...Oly |
