Can anyone recommend a free program for downloading video from a digital camcorder? I have been using Sonic My DVD (came with my burner), but a few months ago it stopped cooperating with my computer. (Transfers the video, but freezes the computer when I try to save the video).
I don't need bells or whistles, just something that will take the video from the camcorder (with good image quality) and save it as an mpeg or .avi. Thanks for any help.

windows movie maker 2.0 from microsoft (windows XP). Very easy to use.
Just hope you have lots of hard drive space as keeping the quality sucks through it quick, last time i did anything it came out to be 5 minutes long and over a gig in high quality. |
