If this is kosher, could I get opinions on two versions of a challenge entry? I can't decide between the color and B&W versions. I haven't posted them since I'll be entering one in a challenge, but if I could e-mail anyone interesting in offering their opinion, that'd be great.

It's considered ok. Many folks, myself included, will simply skip voting on an entry they have given feedback on. I'll give it a looksie if you like.

if you place them in your workshop they arent visible and then you can pm links to them from your workshop

Definitely kosher -- usually how it works is those who have seen it refrain from voting on it.
