I just came across this info and downloaded the new Dropbox Beta software to get extra storage space for free. The way it works is they want you to test out their new image uploader for them. So after you upload your first image using the new beta software you get 500mb added to your storage space, and then with any other photos or videos you upload you get an equal amount of extra storage space added for free (up to a total of 5GB).

I'm still uploading stuff, but it is working well for me from my Mac by simply plugging my iPhone in and letting the Dropbox software upload video and images from it. As soon as all files have syncronised your free storage limit gets bumped up (I'm up 2.5GB) so far.

Those of you using Dropbox already can go for it and get a little extra free space while this is available :)

If you aren't using dropbox, you should consider it. I use it all the time to upload images I'm processing and can continue to edit them at a number of locations. Files are viewable on all of my computers and even my iPhone and iPad. Works with many platforms, cool stuff!
