Lots of titles doing more of the work than the photos

I think by nature of this challenge it needs some explaining in many instances. If I had entered I would make sure the voter get's it since by nature your DPC voter is a speed voter and a good title helps to point them in the right direction. Having gone through the entries and now voting.. I like the titles especially.

+1! If you have to explain it, it isn't all about the photography.

Meanwhile I am getting hammered by the speed voters... (maybe I should've wrote a paragraph to explain it...)

I personally like the fact that we have the photoshop wizards, who by the way have outdone themselves, but also the quietly photographic shots as a contrast- you need both, a fantastic title, shoehorning as it might be, helps to hit it home sometimes.

sorry, i didn't enter nor am i going to vote. i dont get this challenge and its not fair for me to vote. I saw some nice images but, again, i dont get this challenge.

wow...

My first time through the photos made me think there was a huge number of shoe horns.
Second time through I thought -- yup, definitely shoe horns, but some really nice shots.
Third time through and I started looking at the details of the really nice shots...

Make sure you look at the details! There are some wonderfully deep creations in here. If you keep looking at a photo, you find more and more fascinating little details.

Have you read the information on the act?

stop online piracy act

It will help you better understand the challenge, but more importantly, it's good information to know. One of the act's supporters doesn't even use the internet, and is proud of it. It's kind of scary to think that some of the people who are running the country are so backwards as to not utilize the incredible tools available to them. Worse, that they think they are trying to fix what they don't use and don't understand.

That's kinda like the song 3.11 minutes of silence that's much reveared by the arty lot ;)

And it is precisely nothing designed to get you to listen to the surroundings etc

I looked through and couldn't for the life of me see what they had to do with the effects of sopa

Maybe should have submitted a solid white photo and an essay on it.

Or infact photographed an essay on it, I knew my entry was pants but I embraced the challenge as described so I'm happy

I already know which ones won the blue hehe and who's it is

I voted on the ones that I thought fit the challenge:

You have rated 30 of 37 images (81%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 4 images (11%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.8333.

I'll go back and vote on the rest, but I wanted to take another look at those before deciding that they're truly shoehorns. Perhaps it's just something I missed...

LOL, someone (who shall remain nameless) responded to one of my comments in an attempt to explain the shot, stating his shot depicts "Stop On Line Privacy", I don't think it was a typo because he stated it more than once and explained it as such.
I think I am going to go back to being a baghead...

BTW My Stats: You have rated 37 of 37 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 17 images (45%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 7.1892.

100 vote check in. I've been at a 5.9 since the challenge started. It's cool that it finally peaked at exactly 100 votes but I'm sure it'll get pulled back down quickly.

Don't want to start a riot here but I don't understand the extra rules in this Expert editing challenge:
"Extra Rules: You may optionally combine up to 2 unique captures in a non-overlapping sequence to create a diptych."
Are you only allowed to use a max of 2 images and if you do then it has to be a diptych type photo?
Was about to vote but this confused me a bit.
