The average american has no idea how much our country gives in foreign aide, they just know it is ALOT! If you don't count military aide, and just count the cash our goverment gives to help them forieners live thier lives (as opposed to giving their govenment a fighter bomber) it is less than one half of one percent of out GDP. Fact is, that is quite a bit of cash, but most people think we are giving closer to ten times that amout when they talk of the ungratfull hordes.
I read today that the IMF is looking on craking down on lending to the U.S.A. BECAUSE OUR DEFICT IS SO HIGH! Seemed like a good idea when it was south american countries we were forcing to change their taxation rates and limiting expenditures, now that they are turning their attention to us, is it still a good thing? |
