I blamed these problems on my old computor but new comp tons of ram tons of fasty stuff and still... tonight editing a lot of pix, kept saving as jpg, Several (not all ) did this:
saved in folder looking like this double click it to open and get this sooo choose CS5 to open and GET THIS... the image is totaly corrupt no program will open it. WHAT THE??
PLUS I lost the size of all my brushes, it only shows + for the size of the brush no matter how big you have selected.. The brush actually paints etc the size you've selected BUT you can't see it until you've oh lets say cloned out a face....
Sigh... and yes I was very careful to save as jpg... after the first two haveing to toally edit over I made sure!
oh the 4x6 BR is a descination by me and all the other 40 files have the same added at the end

you have to take the 4x6 br stuff off the end it changes the file extension and windows has no idea what it is it has to be .jpg

But I've always used some extension on the end to identify pixs, Last weeks sent to the printers over 50 from this same file, all with that type of extension and no problem with them at all nor most of them I've done today????
OH OH MY BAD I just went back thru all the photo's I've saved today, some how the 4 x 6 BR is always before the jpg so I do'd sumpthing bad

You have caps lock turned on in ps, take it off and you will see your brush size. As for your other issue, as Linda said, I'm guessing it's because you changed the file extension, please try renaming one of your images so it ends .jpg and let us known if it works. If not can you upload one here? |

No problem. You can hide file extensions from being shown if you'd find that useful (and prevent this happening again) by clicking on your start button, typing "folder options" in the search box (without the quotes), clicking the "view" tab at the top, and then from the long list of options ticking the box "Hide extensions for known file types". |
