Has anyone used a Magic Lantern series book for their specific camera? If so did it help more than the manual included with the camera?

I'm looking at getting the Magic Lantern guide for the 1D MII while I wait for it to be shipped to me.

I have one for the Elan II camera. I find it very informative as it goes into much greater detail than the camera manual.
