I don't think anyone much objects if it were an ADDITIONAL challenge; they just don't want to see the traditional Best-of-2011 morphed into expert. And I don't blame 'em.
How about a special challenge, announced 15 January, entries close 15 February, expert editing, time-frame anytime in 2011?

Personally I still think a "Best of" should remain in the Advanced editing camp as I have explained my reasons earlier in this thread.
There exists two camps on what "Best Of" should/can be.
IF there is to be an additional 'Best Of' that is Expert Editing it MUST NOT run at the same time as the Advanced Editing Best Of. This way they will be two different & separate challenges that do not draw away time and attention from one or the other. They will be their own two separate entities. I feel that Bear's suggestion will serve to keep both camps happy for the most part. |
