At the level I'm at, I'm quite happy with a score of 5.6 and above when I'm entered in a challenge. I've been thrilled to get a few in the sixes lately though. Wish this was one of those challenges, haha. Had some nice comments though. :-)

It's been a long time since I had an update button, I can't remember for the life of me how you calculate what your last vote was, if anyone would care to enlighten me? I searched the forum and couldn't see a thread about it. I know you take your score x.xxxx and then your updated score x.xxxx but I can't rememnber the sum to get the last vote.

I'm stoopid.

Your score is an average. Multiply it by the number of votes to get the sum of your votes. The next vote will increase the sum. Subtract the old sum from the new sum and you will have the vote.

focus point is whining because he sold his shitty no good canon and bought the greatest camera every produced and we are all stupid for using canon and not 9 year old $100 nikons, and his pictures from said $100 camera are way better than anything he did with his useless canon but there is a conspiracy a foot to keep his scores down to reflect the lack of believe in his assertion that he made the right choice. this goes right up to white house level with the cia and nsa alterering scores on a real time basis.

(this is tongue in cheek incase anyone doesnt get sarcasm, looks westerly ;)) hahah

It's very frustrating that earlier I went down .24 in one hour. I can only see it going down from here. The vote count hasn't been changing much either, it appears that several people have been coming back and lowering their scores. I guess they think my shot isn't as good as they first decided it was, oh poo.

Had a really lovely comment a little while ago though. :-)

with the risk of identifying myself who ever made a one word comment which apparently has no relevance that i can find through google search or other brain racking and is hidden during voting would you mind expanding on your one word as its really puzzling and annoying me hehe

really quite pleased, and if it stayed over 6 I would be happy, but sadly the score correction will inevitably happen.

The comments were good, and the critical comments held much merit.

Aaaaaand the super-low voting starts as the challenge draws into the last half day.... of course, doesn't it always? Sigh. My score has just come down drastically without a change in vote number. Always makes me wonder how many people drop their votes on a shot they think might do well to improve their own chances.

Not so many, but surely more than one or two. In the tilt-shift challenge my score has significantly dropped in the last half day - something like .2, otherwise I could be in the top ten (but maybe the same has happened to other people).

my tilt shift dropped from 6.18 to 6.06 in the last 4 hours

I'm sure the majority of us vote fairly, it just strikes me as odd when my vote count doesn't change but my score drops majorly; a vote which must have been high or high-ish suddenly becomes low, it's happened a few times before. Surely when voting someone couldn't think a shot is nice enough to give it say a 9 and then cut that in third in the last leg of the challenge? Purely tactical, which makes me sad.
