Today I had a "field trip"...As some people on this site know...I work for an engineering firm and I am having to learn alot of new stuff for my job. I have now been to two paper mills. The 1st in Mansfield, Louisiana...the 2nd in Campti, Louisiana. The mill in Campti was a different experience for me. There was nothing anywhere around the plant....there was a mom and pop restaurant....it was in a house that I swear had not been cleaned in 50 years...however, the food was good. The next nearest store was a 45 min drive. Anyway I just wanted to share the day I have had....Oh and by the way I really love the job I have...I wouldn't want to work in a mill every day but that is why I have an office job.

Good to hear you are steadily employed and busy again. Any good photo ops at these locations?

I live in a paper mill town. Aside from the terrible smell every now and then, it isn't so bad. And, they do provide for some interesting photos. :)

unfortunately these mills frown on photography in the mills unless it has to do with work that we are doing
