| Why does the comment 'image removed' come up more often, is that code for DQ? |

| I was just asking the same thing in a PM thread. I would like to know the answer. Did I miss a forum thread on this? It seems to be happening a lot lately. |

| i think it's because the database has mismatch errors, may be related to the other issues (comment viewing during challenges). |

| I read in another thread it's because of tie scores; if you look at the two images above the IMAGES REMOVED slot, you'll see that the score is a tie. Something like that... |

| It is due to ties. No image is really removed, just the place. In other words, if there is a tie for 24th, there is no 25th place awarded. |

What a strange way of dealing with it. Wouldn't it be better to simply say 24th (shared) on both images and then move on to 26th? Or at least put a sensible message in the box, like 'no placement due to above tie'.

| You know, in some board games, if you land on the same space as an opponent, he/she has to go back to the beginning. In that regard, I think in the case of a tie, one of the two images should be DQ'd. ...can I get a +1? |

I think they never used to do ties unless it was for the 1st through 3rd slot. They just fell where they fell. At least I don't remember it happening way back when. But anyway, they probably changed something in the script to consider the ties now instead of having to do it manually, which is why it does all of them now. Of course, this is only a guess on my part. |

Not here It says "Image removed"
and on here the image is listed as 19th place, but up in the left the place before is 19 and the next is 22nd..

All got an average of 6 and 19th place...
That is a lame way to show it...

Maybe there should be "tie-breakers".
Like.... the earlier submission wins, as indicated by the image ID#.
Or, you could grant the higher position to the longer tenured member. |
