I was making a suggestion on the "get satisfaction" site and I wanted peoples opinion. What about achievements along with ribbons. Here are a few examples I thought of. Enter first challenge, entered five challenges, place in top 10, have 10 helpful comments, etc. This way people will have more goals to shoot for and also gives you room to grow as a photographer. Be brutally honest. That's my two cents!

There could also be: "get your average above 5, 5.5, 6, etc.."

Whatever for... there are oodles of people on this site that are know for their critical appreciation of the visual art. \

I may not agree with their score, but the fact is that it remains their exclusive right to vote as they feel... and if they are consistent then I have no problems with whatever score they dole out.

I thought one of the great points would be new achievement could be added all of the time. A great example of this is Livestrong.com and their food tracker.
