Part of a sewing machine? It looks like a pulley or guide for thread, fishing line, string or something on that order to me.

Well, I used to have a fishing tackle shop too, but the point was, I knew it WASN'T a bobbin guide. I did NOT, however, have it pegged as fishing gear :-)
