I would like to say black Iron Ore but it seems to be to dark/shinny. Maybe a more rubbery substance such as tar.
01/09/2012 11:58:54 PM · #689
How did you get one of my wife's brownies?
01/09/2012 11:59:37 PM · #690
I recently did a tire repair and it looks alot like the rubber compound that is stuck through the hole.

All no, so far, though it is a natural object.

I washed the dust off before I photo'd it, so it's a bit shinier than I'm used to seeing it.

Is that rust on the left side?

01/10/2012 12:24:16 AM · #694
Piece of coal, or a clinker from burning coal?
I'm going to bed, so if this is right, someone else take over and post one.

It's black, any visible color is a reflection.

No rust, no coal, no creosote.
It came to me on a plane or a boat.

Off to bed, now! I'll check back in the morning.

Here's another view, incandescent lamp, Only edit is a slight decrease in contrast and some deblur using Topaz InFocus, to show the form and texture better, then SFW.

The other side has a texture that is fairly familiar to many.

Some sort of a shell?
01/10/2012 01:43:55 AM · #698
Sorry, not a shell.

It's mineral, but what?
01/10/2012 01:59:03 AM · #699

01/10/2012 02:06:24 AM · #700

Good nite!
