Close enough, I guess. They are valve seats from a pressure regulator.
The center and right are made from Dupont Vespel and the one on the right shows what happens when sodium hydroxide is run through the regulator for 30 some hours.
The one on the left is made from PEEK and is impervious to the same chemical attack.

I was also thinking that they looked a lot like faucet washers, except that they were made of something synthetic that looks harder than the usual ones. We use adjustable regulators similar to that in ag applications, for spray machines.
I will see if there is an interesting item on my job today, and bring home a photo to post tonight. |
