Well, I guess you could play with that, and I'm certain you'd want to do that indoors, but sadly, no. Nor an ice cream machine. And the guesses are colder than said ice cream! |

Let's take 'em one at a time...
- Definitely not paintball-related
- Not a foot pedal; it's hand operated. I guess it could be used to substitute for a foot pedal in its intended use tho...
- Not related to sewing |

Nope. Additional information: we are seeing most of the object in this image. |

One of those remote, cabled units that sends signals to move trucks along overhead tracks, with things suspended from them, heavy things? Engines?: |

Now that part is zeroing in on the win. Sadly for whomever wins, they will discover that "the cake is a lie." |

Question: does the Terminator have nipples? ;-)

Nope, not a proximity or distance measuring device.
Hint: the laser in the device does measure something, up to 1000 times per second. |

This one has been a lot more challenging than I anticipated. I've given a lot of hints, but I think what is confusing is that the thing bears no resemblance to what one of these is supposed to look like. A couple more hints:
- Nearly all of us use one of these nearly every day
- We sometimes use it for hours on end |
