Saw blade carbide tip. Looks like it has been cutting dry wall. |

There we go! It's the carbide insert on one tooth of a miter saw blade. Actually, it's most recently been cutting pine boards, thus all the resinous "schmutz."

The primary purpose is not to make a (physical) impression. It is, however, someone or something's "seal."
