my wife just got a new Toshiba thrive, and its pretty nice. we forwent the kindle fire since it was a tad to small for our liking for viewing media.

however its seems that we are unable to get any magazines on the android platform, as amazon only allows subscription if you have a kindle fire. she can get all her books through the kindle app, but no magazines, which is just dumb or smart.

does anyone get magazine subscriptions on android and if so, how do you do it?

I guess the Kindle app for Android only handles books? Perhaps there will be a near future upgrade. Their business model is to make money from the media, not to make money off the hardware, so there may be an upgrade soon.

I have the Asus Transformer tablet and it came loaded with the Zinio app for magazines. I haven't used it, so I can't really tell you anything about it.

Awesome, just what was looking for. For some reason that didn't show up when I searched for magazines...

This marketplace is hard to get used to.
