Oh, yes. I resemble that remark!

Nothing can replace the original Polaroid cameras with their unique "films"!

Not the same thing; the Fujis are FILM cameras. The Polaroid is a portable, digital printing device. You get to keep a digital file, AND you get the instant print. Plus, you can do various sorts of "processing" to the image before outputting it.

Yeah, a slight difference that I ignored!

Reminds of the Leica M going digital. I think it will be a fun family event style camera. I hope the lens sucks in a wonderful way.

Though it is interesting in its own right, it's just not the same.

Polaroid is missing the boat. Why not make an instant "print to internet" camera instead?

call it a "pofo", give it a keypad, and let it also make phone calls, maintain an address book, play angry birds, etc... :D

"The $300 unit does more than just make 3-by-4-inch prints on demand; you can also edit and frame the images before printing, or you can shut the printer off and use it as a standard digital camera."

Well this just takes all the fun out of it! Sorry Polaroid, but I'd much rather save $280 and buy one of your old cameras from e-bay.

Hard to see this as anything other then a toy for some of us..... IMO that boat has sailed a long time ago.
