I was looking on eBay for a BG-E3. I have seen some go for $50 to $60 when the timing is right. However, the generics always seem to be hovering around $30. Recently, I have seen some that look exactly the same as the Canon version minus the Canon logo imprinted on the front. Has anybody bought one of these? Do they function just like the Canon version? I have included a link to the Generic Grip. Thanks for the help!

I have a "Bower" brand grip for my 50D. I was using it at an event all day Saturday. It seems to work nicely and is plenty sturdy. One thing I did notice was that when holding the camera in a normal horizontal fashion, I kept accidentally pressing the shutter button on the grip. This is a problem when one has the camera in burst mode. I had to get in the habit of turning off the switch that activates the shutter button on the grip. I guess that's why it's there.
