I've basically been out of the loop for a long time, which always makes re-entry into the DPC stream dangerous, but based on what I'm seeing in this thread, I should be pretty happy with how my entry has been received so far:

lots of nice comments some really nice ones getting the subtleness of the grain, others sadly lack any subtly and wanted what others did about a 5 on the grain filter in photoshop to get a completely over grained and unnatural, i based mine on 5 years of shooting 35mm b/w film with my eor 5 and ae-1 before getting my 20d. glad i u sed my 20d though not my 5d as better natural noise to start with :)

Same here. Mine lost more than 0.3 over the last couple of days. It's a nice enough score still, but it will no longer be making it onto my profile page. |
