Nothing great, but I thought I'd post some stuff to help out others trying to make a decision:

1st up, Kenko Extension Tubes. They're awesome. So much easier than reversing rings (although, you can't get nearly as close up). This shot was taken hand held with the 12mm extension and 28mm lens. It's not a Jacko, but I'm pleased. That fly was about 3/8 of an inch long.

2nd up, Canon 70-200mm f4 L. All those people who say "once you go to an L, you'll never want to use anything else" were right. I had no idea autofocus could be so quick and silent (although, I was having just a litle bit of trouble at times ... seemed like it was focusing about an inch behind what I was aiming at ... need to test that out more). I'm already happy I didn't go with the 200mm 2.8 L, I was using the zoom a lot during my first outting.

ps ... I posted the fly picture so I wouldn't be tempted to submit it for the challenge, I know there isn't enough dof. Sometimes my need to participate overrides my clear thinking :)

Nice work, Kris. The goose close-up looks very crisp. I like the colours in your supplementary one too, although not sure about the desat.
