Picked one of these up off of eBay (couldn't get the Olympus 2020, bids kept going too high), and apparently it needs something to allow it to take filters.

Googled a bit and some people are using wide angle lens, but it costs 90+$.

Does anyone have any recommendation to allow it to take filters (or some cheap fix) that is inexpensive?

Thanks guys.

Something like this?

Never used that site so can't recommend it, but if that's what you need looks like amazon has them cheap.

Yeah, basically that! I can't turn it up on Amazon, only one for the 900s series.. can ya link me if you have it ?

What exactly are you looking for? Are you sure the 900-series items won't work? They do both have a 28mm lens thread. If you discover that 900-series accessories do work, I have some of them that I no longer use...

I'm not sure, just haven't been able to find much online about what adapters will or won't work. Don't know a ton about photography honestly, so not sure where I'd go to check for compatability.

I know there were some resources out there, mainly discussions by users, but at this date they may be gone or hard to find. If the Coolpix camera has a non-moving front element and a 28mm front thread, there's a reasonable chance an adapter made by Nikon will work. I would not buy the 3rd-party adapters, only the Nikon adapters. The adapters are always an optical compromise, but the Nikon ones do a much better job than the 3rd-party options.

Yeah, sounds good.. I'll give it a shot. Nikon one would be better quality, but it's a lot more money. Will probably pick up a 3rd party for ten bucks just to make sure the non-800 model line will work first, then switch it up if it does.
