I'm all about literary themes and suggestions, this could be a simple one to yield many creative entries.



portmanteau :combination of two or more words to create a new word.

Someone used the term "Shart" in the babies/toddlers challenge. that would be an example.

Not being familiar with the term "Shart", I Google it...still laughing here.

I did learn that portmanteau (which old farts like me called "Porte-manteau) had a new definition other than "Clothing Valet". I never cease to be amazed by the things I learn on this site.

Oh, and you are quite right about the "Creative entries".

excellent challenge topic!

and correct me if I'm wrong but "shart" is more about "creative exits"

Portmanteau words were first called that by Lewis Carroll - Jabberwocky is full of them.
