I'm working on a DPC dictionary to appear in the tutorials section. This will include various photography and DPC related terms and acronyms. This would not be a FAQ but rather a list of terms and definitions.
For this to be useful it is important that they be terms in common usage on the site, and not terms invented solely to contribute something to the dictionary.
Please post any suggestions here and I will add them as appropriate.
EDIT: If you can easily do so, please include definitions with your terms. If you can't, just give me the terms and I'll work up definitions.
Thanks!
-Terry

Yes. Any term that a user is likely to stumble across and might want briefly defined.

These sound more like entire tutorials than definitions. The purpose of this specific project is to create a dictionary... if we're lucky this might give people ideas for tutorials to write.

I made this suggestion last year. At least someone is working on one :)
The cool thing about it is that it might bring more people to the site because of the potential of linking from Google, or other search engines.

| I'm amazed that the WWYT crew hasn't jumped on this one ;) A suggestion from an e-mail we got today: "selective desaturation" -- even how it can be done within the basic editing rules, unless that's out of the scope of your tutorial. |

We get lots of suggestions for tutorials, but far few people actually writing them.
Yes, that's a challenge. ;-)

I was going to volunteer to do it back then, but the interest wasn't really there so I left it at that. |

a term i don't see used much here:
bokeh:
bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light. It describes the appearance or "feel" of out-of-focus backgrounds and foregrounds.
