Out-take

Entry

In the out-take, I used Content-Aware Scaling to squish the middle and bring the subjects closer together. I had to mask the foreground person's arm back because the scaling completely deformed it. SC said it wouldn't be legal, so I went with the other choice.

Wouldn't have made much, if any difference, IMO. You should have move the guy 6 or 10 inches to the left and/or zoomed back a bit. I had no idea what was going on on that side of the frame. ...of course I might have been distracted...

Yeah, I worried that the foreground person was too blurred for people to recognize what was going on. I assume that was part of the reason for so many low votes. The guy was the one setting off the shutter, so he kept moving, which made it hard to get him in the right spot in the frame. I needed to use the 200mm to get us the proper proportionate size and height. Next time I'll need to bring a third person to deal with the shutter.

Hindsight's a bitch, huh, Marko???? LoL.

There were some really great photos in this challenge! So intimate. I didn't feel right voting so I sat this one out.

As for my submission, I originally tried to get my cat to be my +1, but she wasn't cooperating. So I called up my neighbor and hauled a bunch of lighting equipment over to her apartment. I was pretty happy with the photos that I got out of it.

Outtake I should have submitted:

From an earlier session, I liked the light better but my model was too shy:

Didn't enter. It was +2, not +1. My brother-in-law noted that it appears as though Thomas is a bit worried about becoming the next kitty snack. In reality, he was contemplating attacking Emma, who was contemplating using my face as a launching point to get away from Thomas...
