Is the replace color tool legal in basic editing or no? I can't find a definitive answer. The basic editing rules don't state either way. Does anyone know for sure if it's legal or not?

A quick forum search on this turns up a few discussions but never a definitive ruling. I'll pose the question to Site Council for discussion.

My argument on this is: If you can select individual channels and change hue / saturation / contrast ... what's the difference???

this question has come again, and I noticed no answer was posted on this thread. The current position is that replace color is ok for a basic editing challenge.
