If you use fotoQuote Pro, what do you think of it?

I shoot a couple different types of photography and I am getting busier by the month. I need to a template to use to produce quotes for these different types of shoots, from events (Bar Mitzvahs, parties, balls, etc.) to product photography, to licensing my images for magazines.

I've viewed the information and video and it sounds like this program is extremely comprehensive and simple to use. It provides suggested pricing based on current industry standards, although their pricing seems a bit high. That's a good thing, though, because I think that I tend to undercharge anyway to ensure that I get the job.

I did a forum search but all that I found was people suggesting that it be used, not much in the way of reviews. I did PM two DPC'ers who are still active here and I hope to hear from them soon.

So, if you use it, what do you think of it for the purpose of creating quotes/invoices as well as assisting with pricing and licensing?

Thanks

funny you should ask, robert. i actually tried to buy it last week, but kept getting website errors. i ended up too busy to have time to call them during their normal business hours, but hope to do something about it monday.

i've been mainly using online calculators and checking my results against stock sites like getty and corbis.

i haven't looked at it for anything more than licensing as i use other tools for the sales and admin stuff.

i'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks Skip. I just bought after waiting to hear from someone to review it. It downloaded and installed with no problems for me.

It is packed with info, that's for sure. But what it is missing is the quote forms that I also wanted. I emailed support and they responded almost right away instead of the "within 48 hours" that the automated response promised. They said that for quotes that I would also need fotoBiz. I found a coupon for 20 percent off for fotoQuote and they said that they would provide a way to purchase both as a package as if I had purchased both from the start...I will just pay the difference.

I haven't followed through yet. I knew that fotoBiz had the forms that I needed, I was just hoping that fotoQuote would come with enough quote capability that I wouldn't have to purchase both. That's one of the reasons that I was posting here for reviews from current users of fotoQoute.

I know a photog who swears by it, but I haven't really asked him much more about it and we don't live in the same state anymore. I don't know if that's very helpful : /
