Damn! If my photography was half as good as her drawings.... very impressive. Thanks for posting.

Wow. <-- Speechless.

I can barely even draw a stick figure, so I am easily impressed.

This however, is totally beyond my understanding.... in fact, I'm not quite sure I can believe that some of those "drawings" or "scratchings" really are not photographs.

Ha... I like the part that says - She is self-educated and has no formal training. IMO this kind of work comes from within - no amount of art school training could account for this talent - IMO !

It's obvious she is also a good photographer. I'm sure many of those started out as photographs that she used as a reference for her drawings.

Lol, she should join DPC!
I bet she could get away with it for a while, before eventually she would win a ribbon and would have to show that it wasn't actually photography :-P
I would definitely be fooled.
What awesome work!

Agreed. I would bet a lot of money on that. Most if not all "photo-realists" work from photos. I don't really understand the genre myself.

She does very nice work. Funny (or I guess not really) that I don't care for the selective desat when she does it in her medium either.

My wife does pencil portraits and while looking up other artists we came across this guy's stuff. It is simple amazing what people can do with just a pencil. He does a lot of surreal looking images and really has a great imagination which I love.
