Would the person staying closest to Art just pop over and see if he has stolen the Sunday 5/09/2011 challenge. Otherwise it could be that slippery guy's dog that ate the homework.

I am nowhere near Art but I have no idea why it keeps leaving out the next challenge.
I live in South Africa and roll over happens at 6am for me - perfect for me to start thinking and planning on how to try and get a good shot. As I write this it is more than 4,5 hours after roll over... still nothing.

There are about 1,500 paying members currently - as "shareholders" this is getting slightly annoying... even if it is for just a virtual ribbon

Yep - Rollover at 7.00 am here. I think it's been since the Friday challenges started that there have been more hiccups with the next challenge announcement than there were in the past.

Well that figures... An Australian stole it and we all thought crime was bad in SA... :)

Well, its not like the members suggest dozens and dozens of unused challenge suggestions to choose from! They need to study the list of VI and higher repeated challenges to pick a fresh one, maybe Lens Flare II, what an amazing selection! Much better than any of the topics I have suggested, or indeed almost any of the suggested threads.

That's a good entry for The Three Amigos.

That's a good entry for The Three Amigos.

Yes it would be a good entry but honestly to toi-toi will not accomplish something worthwhile

I sure hope when it finally gets posted that we get an extra day for this challenge because at this time of the day, almost 12 hrs after rollover, there's not any chance to start shooting for it tonight.

That's the way it is for EVERY challenge on this side of the pond, lol. Rollover is at 11 PM (ish) when most are going or already in bed for the next day, so those first few hours tick by with little chance to shoot.

Right, but you still get the full week to shoot for it whenever it is (we all get the same amount of time). But if Langdon adds one now, and puts the end date as Sunday night the rest of the world lose a full day (the Aussies even worse than Europe). All I'm suggesting is if Langdon rolls it over now, then make the deadline exactly 1 week from the time he posts it, not at midnight on Sunday.

If I remember correctly, the last time there was an issue, Langdon did give us a full week. Just wish he's hurry up, lol! Probably on vacation for the holiday.

maybe the 7 challenges was too much last week and the site needs to recover.

Sometimes I think how come a site like this is relying only on one single person?
In any business - even family business, or simpler things in life - we have back ups, someone covering for others, etc.

The fact is that if someday Mr. Langdon decides to call it quits, for whatever reason, we'll be all dead in water and there will be very little we can do about it - if anything...

edit typo.
