I scoured the net trying to find the TC-DC58A attached to an actual PowerShot Pro1 and never could find one. I'm getting ready for a local airshow so I just went out and bought one. If you are wondering how big this thing is on the camera, well here it is: TC-DC58A (lens) + LA-DC58C (adapter).

The pro1 has a 28-200mm (equivalent ) zoom built in, throwing this guy on there takes the range to about 280-300mm (Equivalent) not quite Fixed FL just little bit of play but not much.

280-300? doesnt sound right. the ratios dont match up. 28/200 is different than 280/300

In the firmware canon has crippled the range of zoom for the adapter/Telecon. Probably because if you zoomed out too far you would get a pinhole camera effect by catching the edges of the adapter.

You put the adapter with the telecon on, go into the menu of the camera and tell it that you have the adapter on and it goes out to full telephoto. When you zoom out it only backs out a little.

Looks impressive, hope you'll share some shots from the airshow.
