Something like this might work

08/27/2011 02:02:32 PM · #27
I've never entered a portrait before, which I would like to do. But I don't have the software, nor the skills to do "expert" editing. Was wondering whether anything "ordinary" would do well in a challenge like this?

I'm in... Advanced editing only, though. It is, however, outrageous.

Maybe finally a Posthumous (?)

Your question was already answered. ;-)

I submitted a basic edited portrait into the last Expert edit challenge and scored a 5.7, and also got a comment asking why I didn't do expert editing.
I mean, 5.7 isn't a super amazing score or anything, but its not like it got hammered either

Oops! Sorry about the double post. But the image is so good, it deserves it.

My personal best score, a 6.98, was in the Visual Pun Expert Editing challenge in which I did no expert editing - barely anything over basic. It finished 6th, and, while several in the top 10 obviously involved expert editing, there are a few others that appeared to be no more than advanced.

Personally....I think you could do well with a really good traditional portrait. I wouldn't vote lower if I thought Expert editing wasn't used.

I am so excited. I took a photo recently and wished there was an expect editing challenge that I could enter it into by doing the same shot. And .... here it is only a few weeks later. YAY!!!

I may not enter, but sure hope there are lots to vote on. I love this kind of thing. Bring on the wacko!!

I've got some similar images that I can't decide which to choose from.

Anybody want to take a peek and offer a suggestion on which to pick?

I can already tell it's going to be a fun challenge to vote on :)

After voting/commenting on the two challenges ... It's clear - females rule!
