I shot for this yesterday (not at home) and didn't realize it was minimal. Of course, I shot in raw. I think I'll skip this one. |

Only 17 submissions, 2 days to go. Dear friends, join! the more the merrier.
It'll be my 1st minimalist, no need to crack my head about editing. Shot, resize and sent. |

I just hope people realize there are windows in vehicles, not just buildings. My car window is one of my favorite, as I see a lot of my shots from it.
And I have to agree, minimal editing for this is really annoying. |

It took me a while, but I finally decided to enter this one. I felt obligated because my PB is a minimal. I still think this is proof that my editing skills suck. |

A daunting challenge in the Minimal ruleset. I will take that into consideration when voting and commenting. |

Bah, minimal editing strikes again! Just about to submit my photo then I notice this (was thinking it was basic editing)... I should start shooting in raw+jpeg for these challenges I guess. |

I have to say that I don't mind the minimal editing challenges. I really liked the way my last one came out.
I have to admit that when shooting for a challenge I am "sloppy" or even ignore certian aspects of my composition as far as the rule of thirds, cropping out crap and at times even lighting because I know I can have a go at fixing the issues in PP. In minimal we don't have that option.

I will be voting much higher for things that somehow include the frame- I mean, it says you don't need to, but that is the true spirit of the challenge. plus its harder to artfully include sill and or frame, or you can say anything is out a window.
i am a liberal constructionist of challenge topic descriptions, but come on! |

A window sill/frame isn't the only way to make it blatantly obvious that the photo was taken out a window. |

Hmmm, how are you going to determine that the window being used is actually the photographer's "favorite" window. That is part of the Challenge description as well.
Or, of course, the "favorite" window should be quite small, so as to fit a most narrow interpretation that includes a boundry.
Not to worry. My mind has already boggled, and I look forward to the entries in tonight's Challenge.

you guys are worse than lawyers!
I just meant that I want some indication that it is a window, and not just a pretty scene with a shoehorn title. It doesn't need to be a white window with a sill, just not a big skyline shot taken from the sidewalk across the river, or a fantatic vista with no grounding, no foundation. they may be great shots, and I may score them highest, i would just be happy to see any indication of a window, hole, anything, favorite or not. |

I'd say all things being equal....If I see two shots that are EXCELLENT but the only difference is that one includes the frame/glass...I'll likely give that one the edge by a point.
