I'm building my ark. I really wanted to sleep late today (which is so rare), but the thunder just wouldn't quit. |

Steve i hear it been pretty dry down there, I'd gladly give up some of this rain. i don't think I've ever seen it rain that hard for that long. looks like it may be letting up. |

Will take all of the excess. Large trees dying down here and half of the grass in the side yard is dead. We sit on top of limestone and once it heats up, we are doomed! Sprinklers don't even help!
Rained yesterday for a brief time, first time in almost two months. |

We missed the making a new record by 2 day. It didn't make it to triple digits on day 41 so we didn't make it past day 42. It's been well over a 100 for weeks here in Texas. No rain until recently. Too much rain in April and nothing much since then. Trees dieing, flowers not blooming, burned up grass or $800 water bills. Life is HOT and DRY here. It's been so hot and dry that lots of pools can't be kept clean. I know at work they are having to heavily monitor the Pool to keep the algae out of it and to try to keep them from feeling like a bathtub because the water is too warm.
Only good thing is that the bug population is way down this summer because it's too dry. Don't have to worry about Mosquitoes and Ants as much as usual. Yeah!!!!!

The ants are all at our house, lol. They even did a story on the news about it. We have a sudden ant problem and have sprayed three times in the last week, inside and out. The funny thing is, the idiots try to take tiny pieces of cat food out of the tiny slit in the caulk above the base board they are were using for a portal and it won't fit, lol. Side note: Ants don't like WD40 or orange oil!

OMG...gurl, stay safe!! I had no idea it was that bad. Isn't it amazing how some can have flooding (like where I grew up) and others..severe drought. P.S....don't part your Taurus in the middle of the road...not a good place! :P |

We haven't flooded here, so I'm safe (well, except for the lake in my next door neighbors yard). LOL! I'm actually shocked, but I don't have any water at all in my basement. But I swear, I don't ever remember rain that heavy for so long, ever. And more of the same today. I'm not sure if you looked at all those viewer's pictures, but they labeled most with the towns. I think Mike might be closer to the bad flooding then I am (though I'm not far). |

Pittsgrove which declared state of emergency, is about 10 miles fro me. My neighborhood is literally few hundred yards from a Delaware river tributary but i am so elevated i dont have any flooding.
Most of the flooding in my yard is becuase my dopy neighbors used landscaping to disrupt the builders grading. that said i'm shocked how fast the ground lapped it most of it up in only a few hours last night, and its not like its been dry here the past few weeks.
