I work on a yacht so many of my photos will be from a distance on the water or from a helicopter as my owner flies his alot and I can go along. I was wondering what type of lense or lenses would be good for my use. One thing to consider is the fact that there is alot of glare on the water. I was thinking about getting the Cannon EOS 60D as a camera. I don\'t have any equipment as of yet so any advice would be most welcome. I am a professional marine engineer not photographer. I want this as a hobby not a profession.

WOW! You have a dream job! I suggest to get polarizing filters for all lenses you get.
