In the rules it says single-colored rectangular borders does this exclude gradient borders. This isn't a big issue, I'm just wondering.

It actually says "at most, two concentric single-colored rectangular borders. "
Single colored, is single colored, plain ol one color, nothing fancy borders.

Right -- no gradients. The rules were revised/clarified after we had some problems the first couple of challenges where borders were allowed...

Ah, yes it does. I should have put it in quotations with those tri-periods(I forget what they are called) because I was only quoting what I thought pertained to my question.
