My daughter is occasionally taking pictures for challenges and having me post them in the forums for critiquing (since she is not a registered user yet).

Her latest, for "Words" is titled "Lost, But Found"

She came up with the whole idea and by herself. Her older sister wrote the paper for her. She then aged the paper using tea bags and her sister helped again by burn the edges for her. She set up the shot with one suggestion from me to use a black cloth. I helped her with a little bit of levels, contrast and resizing in PS.

Please feel free to offer suggestions. Thanks.

I have a 10 year old son, and he is definitly not that creative. Well in other ways he is. But I think this coming from a 10 year old is pretty cool. Sounds like a photographer in the making.
Tell her I said to keep up the good work and keep having great ideas!

Wow. That's pretty impressive given her age. Oh great....someone else to compete with now. :)

Here's my suggestion. Do not let her enter any photographs into any challenges. She's too good already, and I can't imagine the pain of having a ten year old scoring two points higher than me! LOL

Have her send her ideas to me for review before the challenges... I mean uh...

That's just the way I feel. I helped my wife and older daughter with their first entries in DPChallenge and they both scored higher than I did in those and my first entry. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to my 10 year old making it a hat-trick when she finally does compete.

I've had my kid (5-1/2) beat me head-to-head in a challenge, so don't feel too bad -- you'll get used to it.

Too bad this one wasn't entered -- a great idea and darned good execution of it!
