Quite a bit of music -- I think even a bit of Bach -- was written for the guitar (or lute). I was lucky enough to see both Segovia and Julian Bream perform live in the early 1970's. About the same time a class at my college built a harpsichord ... :-)

Or maybe just Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
