Fully expected this to be in the mid 5's, almost didn't enter it! I'll never understand the voters (I have another one in voting that I expected to be in the mid 6's and is in the mid 5's so I guess everything evens out).

I hoped I'd break into the 6s, but expected to be around 5.8 and yet I wake to find this unbelievable score:

Usually, when I am lucky enough to get a score above 6 I will have a couple of comments by this time. I guess my picture is decent but not evoking much emotion from voters. |

I find this challenge really interesting. There are some entries where the title is a sort of memoir, and a good photo reinforces it ... which I think was the point.
There are quite a few photos that are very good photos, but with titles that aren't memoiric (if that's a word). And there are some great memoiric titles under poor photos. Vote for the title? Vote for the photo? Does a good title with a poor photo trump a good photo with a poor title? Oh, the angst!
If ever a challenge challenged DPC voters ... this is it. May explain the seemingly low scoresreported in this thread and the volatility of scores during voting. |

i have to agree. there were some stellar photos that were completely devoid of anything approaching a "memoir" (in either the title or the photo), and so i gave them much lower scores. sorry.
