I took this for the chocolate challenge, but didn't like the way it turned out. How do you think it would have done, and what should I have done to improve it?

Personally I couldn't have gone very high. It is a very interesting subject but looks like a tough place to shoot. The crop makes it really crowded looking. The colors all being neutral makes it all just run together.
Maybe step to the left a bit (towards the doorway in the picture) and not try to take it all in...The stuff coming out of the ceiling is neat but leave that out and focus on the chocolate ladder and whatever it is that it is dripping on.
Just my take.

My sentiments exactly, it's too cluttered (or something) but some elements of the subject are interesting. |
