So, I finally have been able to troubleshoot this to the topaz bundle plug in. I'm not sure if its all or one, but here is the problem.

Whenever I load any photoshop script, for example the Image Processor, Photoshop flashes the script and then immediately crashes out, with no error message. When loading a script from Bridge, nothing happens.

I disabled, virus, released the IP, shutdown all protective services and it still occurred. Then I remember this started to happen after I bought the Topaz Bundle. I went to the plugin folder and moved the Topaz links out of the folder and reran Photoshop. This time, everything worked perfectly. I put the links back in, verified that the plugins were present upon a reload, and it failed.

Any ideas as to why? Its a pain at the moment to have to close out, remove the links to run the image processor.

Thanks,
Paul

What version of Photoshop are you running and do you have all the latest updates for the bundle?

I have the latest bundle and CS5 running on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I just ran a number of scripts including the image processor, and they all worked fine for me.

Not sure what is going on with your install.

Hi. CS2 and the latest bundle. I did a reinstall/repair of PS and the problem persisted. I've actually have always had issues with the install on my system. The file dialog box always takes a few tries or it crashes. Very weird behavior. I've never been able to fully resolve that problem, just work around it.

Are you running Windows 7 with CS2? I thought I read some time ago that CS2 was fully supported or functional under Windows 7, and perhaps even Vista. I was under the impression that CS3 was the minimum version. Of course you could be running XP or even a Mac...what OS do you use?

I got the system requirements of the Topaz Bundle from their site. This could be your main problem since CS2 is not supported in the requirements.

Windows

Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
1 GB RAM minimum
Adobe Photoshop CS3-CS5 (32-bit and 64-bit), Adobe Photoshop Elements 6-9.
Lightroom 2 and 3 via Topaz Fusion Express
Irfanview
PaintShop Pro
Photo Impact
Serif Photo Plus

Ahhh....very well could be. I had posted a note about that on DPC and someone was using it with CS2. I'll have to look it up. Prior to the bundle, I did have Adjust and there wasn't an issue. I'll have to do more sleuthing.

* RESOLVED *
Well, I determined that it was only the Remask 3 plugin that was causing the issue. When I removed the plugin link photoshop scripts worked fine.

Just posting for posterity. :)
