Winner of the "Never Before Seen" challenge is practically basic editing. Don't worry about it, just do your thing.

Just because the rules are advanced editing does not mean you have to make a fantasy world photoshop creation. I had a 5th place HM in an expert editing challenge with primarily advanced editing techniques. I only used a couple of expert allowed changes in order to not have to reshoot it.
