Tell the truth, did you think this photo came from a desert:
That's the look I was going for, but the closest desert is thousands of miles away, so that would certainly be DNMC for a 100 meters challenge. This is actually the new growth on a small pine tree, silhouetted against a sunset. Interesting what one can find around their house when you try to view the world differently.
FYI, here's an example of what this growth looks like in different light:

I gave it a six and thought it was the desert. I like that kind of stuff...you should have seen what I was trying to do for the minimal landscape challenge....I couldn't get it right though...so no entry !
Good Job !

Looks great -- I like using plant parts as stand-ins for other things like that ... very well-done. |

The few comments I got on my "Never Seen ..." image lead me to believe that people thought I had just found an interesting place to photograph, rather than creating an "impossible" view ... I thought about titling it "They Get You Coming And Going" to provide more of a hint, but ultimately decided not to. Were you fooled, or just underwhelmed?

I was definitely fooled by that. You combined them so seamlessly that I 100% thought this was a single photo. Well done. |
