My granddaughter broke my mouse last night. It's the 6th one in the past 8 months. I've been buying the logitech cordless laser mouse. I can't remember the model type. And I'd like to stay with cordless/laser. But I need one that can take a hit/fall/throw. LOL! She's fascinated with watching YouTube videos (mainly sesame street music videos) and she's very adamant that when she wants it, she wants it now.

There is no such a thing like "unbreakable mouse" or Mighty Mouse...
I think that the best approach is the "cheapest" approach , e.g a cheap optical mouse about $1 - see ebay mouse and you minimize your loses . For any 10 mouses destroyed you lose only $10 instead of $100.

Yes, but cheap knockoff mice are frustrating to use. Or rather, to TRY to use. Keep an eye on someplace like Woot which frequently has last years model of mouse on super special buys.

Exactly! I've currently got an old wired mouse hooked up (because god forbid I should go a few hours without a computer) until I can get to the store later. And it's driving me crazy. It doesn't even have a scroll wheel, let alone zooming or volume control. Anyway, I'll probably just end up buying what I've been buying, but damn, it's getting expensive. I'll keep checking woot though and stock up for next time.
