I got my Minolta DiMage F200 on Monday but I didn't have a card reader until yesterday. Boy , what I difference a few extra megapixels make! I took some snapshots on Fine mode at 2271 1704, last night and was able to zoom in on PS to 200% and still have a pretty sharp image.
The following are just crops of images taken on Standard mode at 1600 x 1200. They are from shots of the side of my neighbor's house. I was standing on the other side of the fence about 8-10 feet away. I'm very pleased. Now if I can only figure out how to get it to stop guzzling batteries. I've turned off all the fancy sound effects but I really need the monitor to compose since the viewfinder is tiny. I'm so pleased with this little camera that the next money I spend is actually going to be on a Nikon or Minolta 35 mm (film) package and a decent film/transparency scanner instead of a higher-end digital. Most likely it will be a Nikon so if I decide to buy a digital SLR I will have some lenses for it already. Minolta hasn't released a digital SLR yet and I'm not as interested in a Canon Rebel Ti, although I haven't written it off.
But here are those crops from my cute little Dimage. Remember, these were taken in Standard mode!

It would be nice to see the image zoomed all the way in too. Just to get an idea of how far away you were.

congrats on the new camera! :-)
