Get to know DPC is the best place to share, learn, improve, meeting new friend and most of all \"challenge\". I am trying to register but found out I am already a user registered with my first DSLR camera D60 AF-S 18-55VR bought on 2008-03-11.

How do I check my previous participation in this forum from 3 years ago?

YOu will have to find your old username and password. Go there and then delete your new ID !

Start by looking at the bottom of your own profile page..the old one. That shows your post activity for the last 10 forum threads you commented in. If there aren't any there than apparently you never made any forum posts.

For comments made on photos you can..again..on your profile page at the upper left click on the small link that shows the number of comments you've made.

Also go into the forums and type your old id into the search box.

What was your old ID?

In the top bar, "Community" has a dropdown with "Photographer Profiles". You can enter your name there, and if you were logged in under that name, it will probably come up with your earlier user name.

Can't trust that search box.
I just tried it with the name that I registered with, and it finds nothing. Tried again, first name only, still nothing. Last name only, 173 Thompsons. In any case, it may help you sort out what your original user name was, and a ticket to SC may get that back if you still wish to use it.
It could be a problem if you ever get a top 3 image, and S C notices that you have two accounts.

Thanks, Judi. My old ID is the one I'm using now. DPC keep my username "alexlky" ID Registered: Apr. 25th 2008. That was after a month with DSLR. No new ID register.
I am not a new user, why I can't post URLs to share my photos?

Ahhh....if you are talking about a portfolio, you need to be a paying member for that ! Is that what you are talking about?

Thank you, MM. You are so helpful. no new user ID register, I retrieve my 3 years old ID. My apologies, what's the definition for "SC"

S C = Site Council. The members of S C have different looking icons from the rest of us. When you click "Community" in the top bar, then "Photographer Profiles", the first 16 members are the Site Council members. You can send any one of them a private message by clicking their icon there, and use the "private message" button on their profile page.

There is a glossary under the Help section on the menu bar. Which covers a lot of terms including the meaning of "SC".

SC

Site Council. A group of volunteers appointed to moderate the forums, judge photo validity and help with general site maintenance.
