CS5 Camera Raw now applies automatic lens correction profile based on Exif. I had an image recently DQ'd because I applied an automatic lens correction profile. I personally believe it should be allowed BUT in the meantime those using CS5 Camera RAW should check their settings as they may unwittingly break the current rules in Basic Editing (or their interpretation) without even realizing that.

Thanks Margaret, good to know. That's something that could very easily happen inadvertently. ETA, especially as it is allowed in Advanced.

I was wondering where the lens correction went in CS5.

i generally dont use cs5 for anything but advanced editing, i use lightroom for basic editing. but LR uses the same adobe camera raw engine.

i had to upgrade to the latest version when i got my 60d. did a newer version just come out recently?

thanks for the notice.
